GIRL!!!!!!!!!!

So here is the story of what happened. My parents had decided on giving us the crib and babies r us had a 20% of nursery sale, so we went to check them out to have an idea of what we wanted. When we were leaving we got a flyer with information on 3d u/s and gender u/s so I gave them a call ( Jorge was insisting too much) to check on prices and they told me $50. I hang up and told my husband and he decided he wanted to stop by and see the packages when we found out it was in the same shopping center as babies r us.

So we stopped by and the tech told us that after 14weeks he could tell with certainty if the baby had his/her legs open and that he gives a second u/s free within the next month. Oh and then he said I have a 1pm appointment so if you want I can do one RIGHT now! It was 12:30. Jorge before even asking me decided to go ahead!! I keep telling him my mom is going to kill me she already paid for one next week! But he didn't listen! So within seconds I was inside having an u/s done!

Baby was sleeping at the beginning... so he made me cough! As soon as the baby woke up he checked and her legs were WIDE open! He said no doubt it was a GIRL! I made him check 3 times to make sure though!! I he reassured us that is 100% girl!! Also there is a bone that girls have it one way and boys other. We are going back on June 2nd for the free u/s and just because I need some reassurance! My family on the other hand is 100% sure is a girl and sooo excited! We are a family full of boys so everyone wanted a little girl! Jorge is over the moon, he always wanted a little princess! So I'm hoping we get a confirmation next week or else I will have to return all the clothes they already gave her!! I really didn't care what we are having but I'm soo excited of having a little girl!

13th week update!! 5/12 - 5/18

I cant believe my 13th week is over!! Unto week 14th! :)

So excited to be part of second trimester, looking forward to feeling great and start feeling the baby move, Oh and find out what we are having!!!

I had a very good week, except that Jorge was away, I felt much better. I'm having a hard time eating chicken, steak and fish, but other than that I'm eating pretty much everything. Still into fruits and soups! I'm getting soo hungry instantly and I NEED to eat!

My bbs are still hurting mostly at night and in the morning, but I'm either getting used to it or its not that bad anymore. I'm still peeing like crazy, didn't they say that in your 2nd trimester it slows down?? Maybe I need to be more patient :)

Yesterday we heard the baby's hb it was 156, Jorge was back from Hong Kong and he really wanted to hear it! Also I had my first prenatal massage, OMG it was sooo good!! I had a lot of sciatica pain and lower back pain and it got released big time! Looking forward to another one next month!!!

Work will be crazy this week and next week, I have a deadline to issue some financial statements and we are very behind, so I will be working like crazy!! Good thing is it will keep me busy until next Friday May 28th when our we will hopefully find out what we are having!! I'm thinking blue!! But my family thinks Pink! We will see!! I will put up a poll next week!

This weekend I put away all the clothes I don't expect to fit during my pregnancy and send them to storage... I need the space to put up the baby's stuff even though we haven't bought ANYTHING yet! But I live at my parents so there is barely space for anything, so now I have some space for maternity clothes and any gifts for my baby miracle :) I'm sure after we find out what we are having my parents will go crazy :) Actually my mom is paying for the u/s!

Back from the Drs appointment!!!

We had a great Dr's appointment! Praise God! I love my Dr!!! He is soo calm and positive, and never on a rush!!! He said Welcome to second trimester!

My blood pressure was 120/80 and I gained 1 lb! So 1lb for the pregnancy so far, I'm soo happy!! After all I have been eating I was soo sure it was going to be much more! He did say to keep that rate since he doesn't want me too big, meaning a big baby since I was 9lbs so that I could have a normal delivery!

Baby's hb was 160!! He got it pretty quickly and it was like 3 fingers below my belly buttom!!! He said Congrats everything is perfect! :)

He gave me an OK to travel, for the prenatal massage (which I will be having on Monday!), for waxing and to use the Doppler 3-4 times a week! :)

I asked about the day I almost faint and my lack of protein, he said that maybe I had too much sugar and then all of the sudden it plummet so to have less of it. The lack of protein (chicken, steak, fish) he said it was fine since I was eating beans, rice, vegetables, fruits, soups, etc!

Forgot to mention last time that I'm off progesterone and still on baby aspirin until third trimester!

Next appointment is with another Dr since mine is going to the Soccer World Cup!!!

Appointments scheduled:

May 28: my secret u/s at an outside facility to hopefully find out the gender!

June 3: b/w, second part of the screening

June 11: regular OB visit

June 16: my 18wk u/s! Anatomy scan!!!

June 17-27: Flying to Ecuador!!!!!!!

12 weeks update!

I cant believe my 12th week is over!! I will be 13 wks tomorrow! I don't know exactly when 2nd trimester starts, but according to my ticker is TOMORROW! So we are going with that :)

Jorge is in Hong Kong, and I'm missing him so much! Cant wait for him to be back, next Monday!

Summary about this week... feeling much better with the nausea, but I still get it if I don't eat often and every time I brush my teeth. I can be so full one minute, and then starving the next! I'm still figuring out what to eat since nothing makes me feel better! I'm soo tired in the afternoons and have a hard time waking up, I can sleep for hours if it wasn't that I still need to pee very often!

My bbs are still KILLING me! I think they grow by the day, I just bought some cocoa butter, hopefully that will help me with no stretchmarks.

Yesterday, for the first time, I almost faint! I got hungry and had a mango, then 30 minutes later I felt I was going to faint! Not sure how to describe more than I was feeling weak and couldn't be on my feet, I had some cookies, a granola bar and I felt better, but I wasn't perfect until maybe 1 hr later. My parents say that its that I'm not eating enough protein and carbs since all I want is fruit, vegetables, and soups. But I'm trying my best to do it. I bought some protein shakes yesterday too, and see how that works.

I have my 13th week appointment with the OB on Friday, so I will ask all this questions I have. Besides that, I'm feeling much confident that this little miracle is here to stay! I use my doppler twice a week, and it is soo reassuring! I'm glad my LO doesn't hide and I pick up the HB very quickly.

12 weeks HB video

I used to pick up the HB on the left side, but now I pick it up better on the right side! I think the baby likes that side more now! I had some chocolate before so that I could have an active little baby!! :)

I did it yesterday since Daddy is in Hong Kong until next Monday and he wanted to hear his little miracle! :)

NT scan!!! 12 weeks!

Praise God we have a healthy little baby!! :)

U/S went great!!! Baby measured right on track at 12 weeks, with a hb of 152bpm, baby was sleeping but as soon as she started moving him, he started t so move like crazy!! Baby was bouncing around, moving arms and legs, it was sooo cute!!!! It took her a long time to get the measurements since he was moving so much!!!

Nasal bone was present, and measurement was 1.52 which they said it was perfect, now we just wait on the b/w results.

As soon as the Dr walked in, I ask if he could check the sex, since the nurse had told me that she couldn't tell, but maybe him. Well the baby didn't cooperate at all, so we couldn't see anything!! Stubborn little one!!!

We are booking an u/s for when I'm 15 weeks... since the one at the Dr is on June 16 at 18 weeks.

We couldn't be happier, that everything is just going perfect! :)
